Lasea offers laser micromachining solutions, mainly using ultra-short lasers.
These lasers allow very high precision machinings, without any thermal degradation and on a large range of materials.
The systems developped by Lasea are dedicated to make this technology accessible to the industrial world for engraving and micro-machining applications :
- Solar cell cutting/machining (production rate increasing)
- Thin film cutting, demetalisation (micro-electronics)
- Micro-fluidic device machining (Micro-reactor, Lab-on-a-chip)
- Medical part machining (endoprosthesis, stents)
Ultra-short pulse micromachining (a few hundreds of femtoseconds) allows getting high quality results without damaging surrounding areas. A standard nanosecond pulse spreads over several tens of meters. Pulses from lasers offered by Lasea for micromachining can count the same number of photons but spread over only 100µm!
Therefore thermal diffusion is negligible and surrounding matter is not affected. That is what makes the results so perfect.
