 » Example: Windscreen Treatment

Application: Marking removal on automotive glass

Objective: Removing the enamel printed on windscreens

This machine illustrates our concept of customized solution. From customer's request until commissioning of industrial unit, this 3 years project demonstrates LASEA skills to support our customer’s project from R&D to the delivery of a performing solution.

A 6-axis robot brings a windscreen in front of a shape recognition system to identify where the laser has to act. Then the robot brings the windscreen in front of the laser to remove the undesired logo or text. Using a special beam shaping system designed by Lasea's engineers, the laser beam removes the enamel in a matter of seconds, leaving an almost invisible enamel deposit. Finally a polishing wheel removes this deposit and makes it impossible to differentiate a treated windscreen from a blank one.

Since 2003, this machine works 24h a day, 7 days a week.
