Application: Traceability of catalytic converters

Lasea has developped turn-key machines dedicated to track & trace catalytic converters for the automotive industry.

CAT converters are marked with our CO2 laser CL40. The laser beam reacts with a TiO2 coating and the result is a highly contrasted marking.

 

The machine integrates conveyors and manipulators to handle CAT converters through the marking & control stations. Each CAT converter is controlled by a reading system before the marking. Then, the existing information are directly integrated into the new code being marked by our CL40 laser. Finally, the new code is checked by a second vision system to ensure a 100% successful marking rate.
